Five days before our spring break.
Fun committee trying to reduce stress.
Bubbles too small, not enough "pop."
I scream...more stress than needed.
Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for creating
a space for me and other teacher-writers to share our stories.

ReplyDeleteThe thought counts for something, right?
Ugh - stress upon stress. But such a great "telling." Thanks for a smile.
ReplyDeleteThis week will feel endless. Good luck! Think: Just five more days!
ReplyDeleteOh my...
ReplyDeleteAnybody who thinks I strip of bubble wrap is going to reduce the stress of dealing with (in my case this time last year) 112 seventh graders the week before spring break needs to actually try to deal with those 112 seventh graders the week before spring break. Your poetry took me straight back to those days. (Notice I didn't call them the good ol' days. Retirement definitely has its benefits.)
Bubble wrap is not going to fix the squirming, bumping, boisterous people counting the hours! (students and teachers)
ReplyDeleteOh my 4th graders would say of bubble wrap popping - How satisfying!
ReplyDeleteBest stress reliever, for me at least, CHOCOLATE. arjeha.
ReplyDeleteHa! They tried--cute idea.
ReplyDeleteSix word stories are such fun -- to write and to read. I like how your lines could each stand alone as a story or all of them together as a story. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Leigh Anne, of course the too-small-bubbles would cause more stress. That is so funny. Hang in there until spring break!
ReplyDeleteI wish my brain had gone the fun route...but it tended toward the serious. I found myself thinking about what strength is NOT...which brought a Bible verse to mind.
