I am joining Betsy at Teaching Young Writers for her Chalk-A-Bration. Join her the last day of each month for a celebration of chalk and poetry. Stop by her blog to read more about it.
This is my first experience at chalking (as I am sure you can tell) and is tied to my one little word for 2014 - REACH.
This year I want to reach out and embrace new things, push my thinking, and challenge myself. I loved writing poetry when I was younger, so this may be a way for me to reach out and try something new with my writing.
Awesome! Welcome to a new year with new beginnings to reach for. Thanks for joining in and sharing your OLW!
ReplyDeleteI love your poem and your word!, Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to all of this, so I'm trying to learn all the lingo and the different groups :). It's overwhelming.
Hope you have a wonderful New Year! I look forward to reading and getting to know you better on your blog.

Wonderful! I love your OLW for 2014! It's a great one...especially in chalk! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome start to your new challenge Leigh Anne. I am going to join in the fun this year too. I just asked my 12 year old son to help me write a poem and he offered to clean his room instead. I cannot think of a better reason to start this challenge than to prove to him how wonderful poetry can be. I look forward to reading more of your poems in 2014.

So glad you joined in the chalkabration with your OLW. Reach is a great word to remind you to reach out to others as well as reach for the stars.
