Each week Ruth Ayres extends an invitation to share and celebrate events, big or small, from our week. Won't you join us?
I love new beginnings: a new year, a new month...
a new story
a new celebration .
New beginnings help us to realize our story is unfinished. We have a blank page begging for our words.
How will you write your new beginning?
What will your story be?
What will you celebrate?
life is a blank page
ink fills my heart with story
and celebration

I can't wait to read yours.
I'm in love with the color gray lately so i like this new look! I also like the blended paint in your header. We spent yesterday with good friends. Our little family starts the morning off quietly - I'm usually up first with the puppy who snuggles up on the couch after I let her our. And then my kids usually wake each other up somehow. After that, we're pretty busy and nonstop after that. But it's been a great beginning to 2016 to spend time together snuggled in our little house. I like a story that begins soft and slowly as the sun comes up. I think 2016 is going to be great. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the header, too, Leigh Anne. I change my header whenever I seem to find a picture that works for what I want. It is a good time for "new", isn't it? And I love your poem, that "ink filling the heart" is wonderful. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great poem! I scribbled it in my notebook. :)
ReplyDeleteThe header is nice! I don't think it's too dark because the rest of the page is bright. Give it a few weeks and see what you think then. What I love about our blogs is that we can make them what we want them to be. They are our spaces on the internet to make whatever we want.
I noticed the new look. I didn't notice the grey. I guess that's good. It's a back drop to the text which is what I want to notice. The header is nice, too. Sit with it for a little while. The fun thing is you can change whenever you want to.
ReplyDeleteWonderful haiku to start the year. Have you read "Ink Heart" by Cornelia Funke?
ReplyDeleteWhen you look at your blog header, does it make yo happy? If yes, you don't need anyone else's opinion. If not, play a bit more with it. :)
Leigh Anne colour is such an individual thing. I think it will either start to feel right or start to bother you. Time will tell. The poem is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning header Leigh Anne - as you know, I change mine every now and then just to freshen things up, too. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI like the new look - goes with your theme of "new" for this post! I love the simplicity of your poem. I'm excited to see what 2016 will bring!
ReplyDeleteThe header is very modern, very new, very up to date. I like it. As everyone else said live with it awhile before making the final call. I think you should make this haiku your tag line. It speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of simple and I love the flexibility of the header. I like Bernadette's idea of the haiku as your tagline - I would love to see it every time I check in.
ReplyDeleteMy beginning is not what I want it to be - too busy already!
ReplyDeleteMake your blog look the way you want it to look. I think sitting back and being content with your work is good :)
New beginnings are always so exciting. It is fun to create from scratch. I think your blog looks great, but you are the one who needs to be happy with it. I do agree that the haiku would make a terrific addition to your header. Have a fabulous week!
ReplyDelete"Our story is unfinished..." Yes. This is my favorite time of year. I adore the new look on your blog. The header is eye catching. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the new look Leigh Anne! And what beautiful thoughts...new beginnings, new stories, new celebrations! Looking forward to all the new stories that 2016 will bring.
ReplyDeleteLeigh Anne, the poem is wonderful and I would like to capture it to post as an intertwining thought for the next gallery. I believe that the blank pages of our 2016 journey will fill up fast with new possibilities. I just posted because the weekend was so busy.
