Celebrating My Grandma #celebratelu

I am so thankful for Ruth Ayres, who extends an invitation to share the celebrations from our week.  Why don't you join us?

Today I celebrate the life of my grandma.

Today I woke to the message that she peacefully passed early this morning.

Today I remember how hard she worked,
                      how hard she lived,
                      and how hard she loved
                      ...for 92 years.
Today I celebrate the 54 years (minus one day) I had her in my life.

I am one blessed granddaughter.

  1. Leigh Anne, your grandma's long life must have be filled with so many wonderful memories. I send my condolences to you. Grandmas are very special people. Mine was 94+ when she left us and my mother was beloved by children. My little granbaby's middle name was in honor of my mother. Celebrate the memories with your family this weekend.

  2. That is a life to celebrate! What memories you must have to share! Thoughts, prayers, and hugs, my friend.

  3. So many memories must be flooding your heart... Thinking of you.

  4. What a lovely post, Leigh Anne! Hold tightly to the memories as you say goodbye to your beloved grandmother. It is never easy to let go, is it? So glad you had this place to share her with us.

  5. I felt blessed to have had grandmothers with long lives, and now I know you had this blessing, too, Leigh Anne. It's a wonderful tribute to your grandmother. I'm sorry for your loss, but happy that you are celebrating her. Hugs to you and your family!

  6. Leigh Anne, your grandmother sounded wonderful. May you always remember her in your mind and heart.

  7. Leigh Anne, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. I'll be praying for continued celebrations for you during this time. Thanks for sharing.

  8. What a beautiful tribute to your beautiful grandma! It's never easy to say goodbye to loved ones, but you've made this passing a blessed event with your words. Hugs, Leigh Anne.

  9. I''m glad you wrote this celebration. I hope your week was filled with warm moments and peace.
