What were we doing today? Well, going on a semicolon hunt. That's what!
Amazing how that little semicolon can spark so many questions. Obviously, your students loved this exercise.

ReplyDeleteI really like how you created a slice just from the dialogue of your students. And did you know that there is a whole book coming out this summer titled "Semicolon: The Past, Present, and Future of a Misunderstood Mark," by Cecelia Watson?
ReplyDeleteI have never gotten a handle on the old semicolon. I really should challenge myself to use them more often!
