Yes, I did it.
Have you done it?
Or are you not old enough to have done it yet?
What did I do?
I took a picture on my phone of small print just so I could blow it up and read it.
Yes, I did it.
Have you done it?
Or are you not old enough to have done it yet?
There is a story behind why I did it, (besides not being able to read it!) which will be tomorrow's slice!
a space for me and other teacher-writers to share our stories.
I love the playfulness of your poem for something that can be very annoying. I tend to have to take my glasses off and hold the object close to my face to see it. My has to use his flashlight on the phone to see what he is reading. Oh, the joys of getting older.
ReplyDeleteI must confess that I have done it too. Someone also taught me I could use the magnifier which is one of the installed applications on the phone. It is so easy and it works.
ReplyDeleteI did not know about this!
DeleteWow...This made me laugh because I have NOT done it. Instead, I've run around looking for a pair of reading glasses. This is such an obvious solution, but it's just as obvious that I'm far from a "digital native."
ReplyDeletePut me solidly in the "have done this and will do it again" camp! Fun voice in this slice!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Leigh Anne, I do this a lot! I'll look forward to reading tomorrow's slice too.
ReplyDeleteHave you done this one? Where you see something too small to read, and you use your fingers to try to enlarge the analog thing you are trying to read? I've done that too.
Oh yes, I do that! I actually use the Magnifer app that was mentioned above. Then I don't fill my camera roll with pictures of text. Your questioning format pulls in the reader. I wanted to shout yes so you could hear my agreement.
ReplyDeleteLeigh Ann! LOL! Yes, I’ve done it. Probably long before most. Lots of times I get my husband to read the labels for me.
ReplyDeleteYes...absolutely yes. And why not own it? Better than making a stupid mistake—that could also be harmful. Phones should be useful for anything because they are everywhere!
ReplyDeleteYou hooked me with your mysterious question....I wanted to know whether I had done it! (The answer is yes.) What a fun post!
