Check Off Your Reading List Challenge 2014

As I was reading everyone's posts reviewing their year of reading, I realized that I am about 6-8 months behind everyone.  I jumped on board with blogging and Goodreads this past summer.  After reading all of the recommendations, my TBR pile grew exponentially.  Books many of you were reading in January - June, I was reading in July - December.

Needless to say, I have a large stack of books from 2013 still on my shelf, and there are so many more I want to add.

So I am joining Gathering Books for the Check Off Your Reading List Challenge 2014

and

Carrie Gelson of There's A Book For That

Maria Selke of Maria's Melenage

Linda Baie of Teacher Dance

who put together the hashtag #MustReadin2014

to celebrate crossing books off my TBR list.

My list consists of books that I own or have pre-ordered thanks to Christmas gift cards, but did not get read in 2013.  This doesn't even count the books I know I will purchase in 2014!

Happy Reading!

  1. Leigh Anne-I just sat down to review some books, & there you were! What a list-some on mine too. I'm doing a mock Newbery with our librarian at school & need to read a couple more 'possibles' in the next 2 weeks. Probably will start Flora & Ulysses next! So glad you're going to join us, & Myra's too! Carrie will have a button for this, soon! As for those on your list I've read, I loved Beholding Bee, The Year of Billy Miller, & The Center of Everything. Many are rooting for The Center of Everything. Just a few weeks till the awards. Happy Reading!

  2. What a great list of books to read Leigh Anne! Some of my very favourite titles are here! I especially loved Beholding Bee, the Water Castle and Paperboy. My daughter's very favourite book just might be Love Aubrey - so pleased to see this title here! We share a few titles for our 2014 reads like Jinx's Magic! Can't wait for this one! Thanks for joining in and celebrating reading and the thrill of shrinking (while growing still) the TBR list!

  3. Love your list! I discovered this year (thanks to the recommendations of many of the same people you're following on blogs & Twitter) that I LOVE middle-grade fiction. My #MustReadin2014 list focuses on the YA fiction I didn't get around to in 2013. I teach Children's Lit and Adolescent Lit and find it hard to keep up with both fields adequately. But thanks to my nerdy PLN, I always know what I need to be reading!
