Living in a small town has its advantages. But shopping selection is not one of them. Being on spring break means a short road trip where stores and choices are in abundance. On Wednesday, my daughter and I hit the road.
We are heading to the beach the first of June, so I was looking for a new bathing suit. Two items I despise shopping for are jeans and bathing suits. Being short and a little overweight make me dread shopping for these because I hate the way everything looks on me.
My daughter headed one way in the mall, and I headed the other. I browsed the racks, picked up a couple of suits and headed to the dressing rooms.
I tried the first one on. "Hmm...not too bad."
I tried the second one on. "Hmm...this one isn't too bad either. It covers what I need it to cover."
I tried the third one on. "Hmm...this one fits pretty good, too, and I love the colors in it."
I took a picture of all three of them and sent it to my beach buddies asking, "You're never going to believe this! I found three bathing suits that I like. Which one should I buy?
In a matter of seconds, my daughter, sister, and sister-in-law replied, "Buy all three!"
And that's what I did!
a space for me and other teacher-writers to share our stories.
Shopping for swimsuits and jeans is the WORST. I always go alone so I can laugh or cry (as needed) without any witnesses. I am thrilled that you found THREE suits to purchase. That's wonderful!

ReplyDeleteAmazing to find not just one but three bathing suits that fit! Good for you, buying them all. You’ll enjoy having the choice of which to wear while on vacation.
Good for you. I shop online at Lands End wearing "tugless tanks" all the time. They fit. I am not going to look better pr worse!
ReplyDeleteOMG. Bathing suit shopping is pain. To find three that you like is pure luck. I am happy for you!

DeleteAnd now you have a nice selection to choose from and you won’t have to wear the same suit two days in a row. Arjeha
