SOLC #26 April Awaking

The Slice of Life March Challenge is hosted by Two Writing Teachers.

I needed a quick slice today.  This has been playing around in my mind, so here is a spring haiku.

dormant December
beneath winter's blanket lies
April awaking

  6. Just a light touch of alliteration that really works. And the balance of lower case, upper case; upper case, lower case in the first and last lines. And a hopeful message. Perfect.

  8. I love haikus because they use those few perfectly chosen words to tell such a rich story. The image is a perfect match.
